(a) how many Apple iPads have been purchased since January 2011;
(b) how many staff are supplied with home internet connections, either paid in full or subsidised;
(c) how many notebook computers have been recorded as lost, stolen or damaged from 1 July 2010 until 1 May 2012;
(d) how many mobile phones have been recorded as lost, stolen or damaged from 1 July 2010 until 1 May 2012;
(e) how many colour laser printers are currently installed in each department and/or office as of 1 May 2012;
(f) how many staff are provided with mobile internet access either via a mobile phone or wireless dongle; and
(g) what was the total cost incurred in the disposal of obsolete IT assets?

(a) Purchase of one Apple iPAD for test and evaluation purposes since January 2011.
(b) Five senior staff have home internet connections reimbursed by the department.
(c)
The department has not had any notebook computers lost or stolen between
1 July 2010 and 1 May 2012. There has been one case of damage (broken screen) not covered under warranty during this period.
(d) The department has had 7 mobile handsets either lost or stolen between
1 July 2010 and 1 May 2012. Four were lost and three were stolen.
Six police reports have been made with regard to these losses, the exception being a handset lost overboard at sea.
(e) The Department of Mines and Petroleum has a total of 65 colour capable laser printers in operation as of 1 May 2012. Their distribution is as follows:

(g) The Department of Mines and Petroleum has incurred $2 560.00 in disposing of IT assets since CUA 47110c (and its predecessor) came into force in 2007.
