Leader of the House representing the Minister for State Development:
I refer to articles in the Countryman of Thursday, 27 June 2013 titled ''Legal
challenge looms over gas agreement'' and in the Koori Mail of Wednesday, 3 July 2013 titled ''Owners vow to
challenge Canning deal''.
(1) Has the
minister or his department received any correspondence from traditional owners
or their representatives on this matter?
(2) If yes to (1) what was the nature of that correspondence?
(3) If yes to (1) on what date or dates was that
correspondence received?
(4) Will the minister table that correspondence and any reply
made by the department?
(5) If no to (4), was the matter of litigation mentioned in
that correspondence?
