for Education:
I refer to a commitment by the McGowan Labor government and
then Minister for Education and Training Hon Sue Ellery, MLC, for a $30 million
redevelopment of Margaret River Senior High School.
(1) What is
the status of the redevelopment?
(2) Has the original scope of the redevelopment been
delivered in full?
(3) If not, why is no funding being allocated in forward
estimates?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question.
(1)–(3)
As part of the 2018–19 state budget, the government honoured the
previous government's commitment to construct additional permanent
facilities for 550 students at Margaret River Senior High School. This
expansion was opened in 2020 with the total funding being $30 million. In June
2020, the government committed to constructing a full-sized sports oval for the
school. This was opened in 2022 with the total cost of the project being $6.276
million.
