The Department has 623 metropolitan and 408 country properties that are vacant as part of our New Living/Regional Upgrade Strategy. These properties are undergoing upgrade refurbishment, demolition for new housing, or are for sale. In addition there are 313 metropolitan and 194 country properties that are in the process of being re-let. That is, they are undergoing maintenance or awaiting allocation.
