The Oval Subi East, is a long-term urban redevelopment project commencing with the demolition of the former Subiaco Stadium. The complex demolition involved significant asbestos removal, working in close proximity to residential areas, as well as sensitive retention of heritage elements. Over 100,000 tonnes of concrete, steel and glass was required to be removed from site. All new public realm areas have been delivered. Lots 1 and 2 were sold to UEM Sunrise Bhd who will deliver approximately 340 apartments west of Subiaco Oval, with construction due to commence in late 2026. Further announcements about the remaining lot releases will be made in due course. As is standard industry practice, connection to services such as power and water is required prior to the titling of finished lots. Subi East covers 35 hectares of land incorporating the area surrounding Subiaco Oval and the former PMH site. It is one of the most significant urban redevelopment projects being undertaken in Western Australia and will bring up to 2,000 new homes to the inner-city area. The estimated yield of residential dwellings is informed by potential lot sizing and site zoning. The final dwelling numbers will reflect the private proponent s final design and built form outcomes.
