PUBLIC SECTOR RECRUITMENT FREEZE — UNDER
TREASURER'S ADVICE
286. Hon SALLY TALBOT to the Minister for
Mental Health:
I refer to the answer to question
without notice 24, asked on 17 February 2016 by Hon Sue Ellery, and subsequent
advice in the answer to question without notice 112, asked by me, that
questions about appendix A of tabled paper 3834 should be addressed to
individual ministers.
(1) Since the
public sector recruitment freeze began on 21 December 2015, how many requests
for approval for exemptions from the freeze have been lodged by the minister in
relation to each of the general government agencies in her portfolios listed in
appendix A of tabled paper 3834?
(2) For each exemption request —
(a) which agency requested the
exemption;
(b) when was it lodged;
(c) when was it granted; and
(d) what is the position title and
salary?

The Department for Child Protection
and Family Support advises —
(1) There were three requests.
(2) (a) The Department for Child
Protection and Family Support requested an exemption.
(b) It was lodged on 16 February
2016.
(c) Requests are currently under
active consideration.
This is a question from 17 March so
the answer is correct as at 17 March.
(d) The position
titles and salaries were: child protection worker—request for 65.5 FTE,
$63 576 to $87 166; residential care worker—request for 56 FTE casual
pool, $57 729 to $62 689; and secure care officer—request for 10 FTE
casual pool, $66 246 to $71 919.
The Mental Health Commission advises

(1) Nil.
(2) Not applicable.
The Disability Services Commission
advises —
(1) Nil.
(2) Not applicable.
