954. Hon Dr BRAD PETTITT to the minister representing the
Minister for Corrective Services:
I refer to the incident at Hakea
Prison on Monday, 19 August.
(1) What were the average
out-of-cell hours at Hakea Prison for June and July 2024 respectively?
(2) What are the average
out-of-cell hours at Hakea Prison for August 2024 to date?
(3) What is the capacity of Hakea
Prison?
(4) How many people are currently
being held at Hakea Prison?
(5) What is the maximum number of
people being held in a cell presently at Hakea Prison?
(6) When not in use as a youth
detention facility, what is the adult capacity of unit 18, Casuarina Prison?
The PRESIDENT : That also
seems to me to be quite a detailed question, but we will see whether the
Minister for Emergency Services can provide an answer.
