FIONA
STANLEY HOSPITAL — SERCO CONTRACT
467. Hon AMBER-JADE SANDERSON to the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to the Minister for Health's statement,
reported on 13 April 2014, that the majority of patient administration and
health records management will now be done by Department of Health employees.
(1) How many employees will be required for these functions?
(2) What will be the total costs, including recruitment
costs, of employing this staff?
(3) If employee
numbers and costs have not yet been determined, when will these determinations
be completed?
(4) Will the minister undertake to
table the determinations when completed; and, if not, why not?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question.
(1)–(3)
The number of employees and operational costs to provide these functions is
currently being determined. Estimated costs are scheduled to be determined as
quickly as possible. Ongoing refinement of these costs will be required during
the commissioning phase. The recruitment costs associated with these staff will
be managed within the Fiona Stanley Hospital commissioning project budget.
(4) The information will be provided at the appropriate time.
