WHEATSTONE LNG PROJECT — STATE AGREEMENT —
ACCOMMODATION
617. Mr W.J. JOHNSTON to the
Minister for Mines and Petroleum:
I have a supplementary question. Is the minister confirming
that he has never had any safety issues raised with him in respect of the
25-kilometre drive to the gas plant?

AnswerView source ↗

I did not say that; I said that any issues around safety
regulation and problems with safety regulation would come to my department.
Anything to do with the state agreement and the requirements that have to be
delivered by the proponent of a project would be negotiated with the relevant
minister. It is not my role —
Several members interjected.
Mr W.R. MARMION :
Mr Speaker, I am trying to get a word in and it is very difficult because he
keeps interjecting.
The SPEAKER :
Member for Cannington, I call you to order for the third time.
Mr W.R. MARMION : I
am not going to give an opinion because I am not the minister responsible.
