I refer the Premier to Mr Gary Hodge, former Acting Director General of the Department of Transport, and I ask -
(1) Will the Premier advise if, since 1 January 2002, Mr Hodge has -
(a) been employed in any area/areas of the Premier’s portfolio;
(b) been appointed to any Boards, Committee’s, Taskforces or in any other advisory capacity in any areas of the Premier’s portfolio; and
(c) received any consultancy work in any of the areas of the Premier’s portfolio?
(2) If yes to (1), will the Premier provide full details of Mr Hodge’s employment or appointments?
(3) If no to (2), why not?
(4) If yes to (1), will the Premier provide the full details of the salary, fees or other financial reimbursement for such employment or appointment?
(5) If no to (4), why not?

(1-4) Mr Gary Hodge was appointed Chairperson of the Community Safety and Crime Prevention Council for three years commencing 1 December 2003. Mr Hodge was paid sitting fees as follows: - $11,667 in 2003/04; - $20,000 in 2004/05; and - $16,667 in 2005/06. Mr Hodge's chairmanship of the Council ceased on 1 May 2006. Mr Hodge has not otherwise been employed by the Department since 1 January 2002, or engaged to provide consultancy services to the Department in the same time period.
