I refer to the Royalties for Regions signs that appear at projects that have received funding from the Royalties for Regions Fund, and I ask:
(a) is there a requirement that all projects that receive funding from the Royalties for Regions Fund have such a sign;
(b) what is the smallest contribution made to a project from the Royalties for Regions Fund that required the installation of such a sign;
(c) how many such signs have been erected in Western Australia thus far; and
(d) what is the total amount of money spent on the production and installation of these signs?

(a) No.
(b) Agencies (not within my portfolio) administering projects funded or part-funded through the Royalties for Regions program may erect signage at their own discretion to communicate to the taxpayers of Western Australia where Royalties for Regions funding is being invested. The Department of Regional Development and Lands requires Local Government Authorities to display signage for Country Local Government Fund projects receiving funding over $100,000. The Regional Development Commissions require recipients of regional grants to provide public recognition of the Government and Royalties for Regions, however this is not necessarily in the form of a sign.
(c) As signage is at the discretion of the funding recipient/implementing agency, providing an exact number of actual signs is not possible at this time.
(d) Due to the discretionary nature of the signage arrangements, except where stated in (b), the amount of funding for signage is not possible to determine at this time.
