Further to my question yesterday about whether LandCorp commissioned Ron Parker to carry out an ethnographic survey of existing and potential sites for temporary and permanent accommodation and industrial use in and near the Karratha town site, will the minister please advise - (1) In whose estimation will it take Mr Parker five days to compile his report, given that the work in question is unlikely to run to more than 10 pages? (2) After receiving Ron Parker’s initial quote or cost estimate for the ethnographic survey, did LandCorp seek any other tenders? (3) In the past 18 months has the South Hedland office of Main Roads WA, or an agent acting of its behalf, commissioned Ron Parker to carry out an ethnographic survey for proposed work areas alongside the Karratha to Dampier highway with the Yaburarra Aboriginal group? (4) If so, what was the total time taken for and cost of this survey? (5) In 1999 did the then Department of Resources Development commission Ron Parker to carry out an ethnographic survey of the proposed east-west services corridor on the Burrup Peninsula? (6) If so, what was the total time taken for and cost of this survey? Hon KEN TRAVERS
