WA ELECTRIC VEHICLE
NETWORK — RAVENSTHORPE CHARGER
280. Hon COLIN de GRUSSA to the parliamentary secretary representing the
Minister for Climate Action:
I refer to the WA electric vehicle
network 150 kilowatt dual outlet Kempower charger installed in Ravensthorpe.
(1) Given that
the charger was installed six months ago and has been awaiting Western Power to
complete the installation and commissioning of associated equipment, on what
date does the minister anticipate this site becoming operational?
(2) What is the reason for the
delay?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. On behalf of the Minister for Climate Action, I provide
the following answer.
(1) Western Power's planned
date for energisation is 29 April 2024.
(2) Critical high
voltage materials required to complete the works were not available, resulting
in a delay. Western Power has since mitigated future supply delays.
