On behalf of the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Community Development, I thank the member for some notice of this question. The minister advises as follows - (1) Twenty-four centres are listed under the name ABC Developmental Learning Centres Pty Ltd and a further 53 licences are held by Peppercorn Holding Company, which merged with ABC on 24 December 2004. (2) The minister has requested that the member be more clear about what she means by “newly established”. (3) This is the responsibility of the relevant local government authority and the data is not routinely collected. (4) Licences were granted to ABC Developmental Learning Centres Pty Ltd on the dates below - 1. 22/02/05 15. 20/07/04 2. 04/01/05 16. 12/05/03 3. 18/01/05 17. 25/05/04 4. 01/03/05 18. 30/11/01 5. 25/01/05 19. 01/12/03 (renewal of 18) 6. 01/02/05 20. 06/01/04 7. 22/02/05 21. 27/01/04 8. 21/10/03 22. 27/01/03 9. 02/03/04 23. 27/01/05 (renewal of 22) 10. 07/09/04 24. 26/10/04 11. 20/04/04 25. 22/07/03 12. 23/03/04 26. 29/05/03 13. 31/07/03 27. 15/06/04 14. 31/07/01 (closed) (5) Yes.
