CHILD HEALTH NURSES
750. Hon SUE ELLERY to the
parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to the May 2012 announcement that the government
allocated $58.5 million to appoint an additional 100 child health nurses, and
the answer to question without notice 56, which advised that as at 16 May 2013,
22.7 additional full time equivalent child health nurses had been appointed
since 30 April 2012.
(1) How many full time equivalent child health nurses have
been appointed since 30 April 2013?
(2) How much
of the 2012–13 budget estimate of $9.11 million was spent on the
appointment of additional child health nurses?
(3) Has there
been any reduction in the original 2012–13 budget allocation of $58.5 million
across four years to employ the promised 100 additional child health nurses;
and, if so, what is the reduction?
