Regions—Housing supply
517. Mr Basil Zempilas to
the Premier:
Recently, people in
the Pilbara, the Kimberley and the South West of Western Australia have raised

move there?

I am very pleased that
the Leader of the Opposition is listening to our vision for the state, which is
to have more people living in our regions so that we can continue to diversify
our economy, making sure that we are creating more manufacturing in our
regions.

The Speaker: Members! Member for Cottesloe! Attorney
General, this is not your question. The Premier is responding. Carry on,
Premier.
Mr Roger Cook: It is an important part of our vision
for continuing to make sure that we benefit from our growing renewable energy
industry and that we benefit from the downstream processing and advanced
manufacturing opportunities that come from that. I very much look forward to
sharing details of that vision with the public and the opposition in the very
near future.
