The Minister for the Environment has supplied the following answer - (1) The area of the Gnangara groundwater mound is 211 958 hectares, according to advice from the Department of Water. (2) The Forest Products Commission has advised that the area of pine plantations on crown land on the Gnangara groundwater mound as at 31 December 2006 was 18 621 hectares, and that additional clear-felling has occurred since 31 December 2006. (3) The honourable member is advised to refer this part of the question to the Minister for Water Resources.
