WA MUSEUM — RELOCATION
(1) On what basis and whose advice did Dr Casey claim that if the Cultural Centre Museum was redeveloped, it would have to close during such redevelopment? (2) Did this advice take account of two previous detailed studies of the redevelopment of the Cultural Centre Museum that demonstrated that staged development could be undertaken without closing the museum? I thank Hon Barbara Scott for some notice of the question, which I provide a response to on behalf of the parliamentary secretary for the Minister for Planning and Infrastructure. (1)-(2) The minister is not aware of the statement by Dr Casey or the context in which it was made. All previous reports and advice were considered in the planning for the new museum.
