Cottesloe beach barrier—Shark
7. Hon Wilson Tucker to the Minister for Fisheries :
I refer to the incident on 8 January in which a shark was
located inside the Cottesloe Beach barrier. At the time, Cottesloe Mayor
Lorraine Young indicated that the manufacturer would closely examine how the
breach occurred.
(1) Can the minister advise how the shark entered
the barrier?
(2) What actions have been taken to prevent a
similar incident from occurring in the future?
(3) Has a formal investigation been completed?
(4) If yes to (3), will the minister table the findings?
(5) If no to (3), when is the investigation
expected to be completed and made publicly available?
