(a – f) As part of the Cook Labor Government’s election commitment to enhance community safety, funding has been made available for Local Government Authorities (LGAs) to procure and install additional Closed-Circuit Television and Automatic Number Plate Recognition cameras. Work is underway with LGAs to finalise camera locations and implementation arrangements, including with the Shires of Broome, Halls Creek, Derby-West Kimberley and Wyndham-East Kimberley. Funding has been made available to support the purchase and installation of cameras with the relevant LGA responsible for ongoing operating costs. Full cost acquittal will be finalised once cameras have been installed and are operational.
