(3) What, if any, actions have been undertaken by the Swan River Trust to address these outstanding maintenance tasks?

(1) The Department of Environment and Conservation (DEC) is not a drainage infrastructure manager.
(2) DEC does not supply funding for drain maintenance.
(3) The Swan River Trust has not undertaken any actions to directly address outstanding maintenance tasks as it does not own any drainage infrastructure. Drainage improvement projects such as the AnvilWayCompensationBasinand the Liege Streetand Wharf Streetwetlands have been led by the Swan River Trust to improve water quality outcomes and the environmental condition of catchments.
(4) Refer to (3) above. As the Swan River Trust is not a drainage infrastructure manager, it is not responsible for nor has funding allocated for drainage infrastructure maintenance tasks.
(5) My departments (Swan River Trust, Department of Water, Water Corporation) are continuing to discuss options with the WA Local Government Association regarding shared partnership approaches on drainage in the Swan Canning Catchment.
