(1-2) The Bunbury Wastewater Treatment Plant (BWWTP) has breached its licence conditions by the inappropriate management of sludge waste.
The Department of Environment and Conservation (DEC) issued a letter to the Water Corporation, in line with its
Enforcement and Prosecution Policy 2008
, requiring disposal of the biosolids as required by the BWWTP's licence conditions. DEC is monitoring compliance with this condition.
