(2) 2 August 2004. (3) Yes (4) Not applicable. (5) (a) Within the terms of the log supply contract Gunns are required to determine the financial viability of milling up to 20,000 cubic metres of low grade logs at the Collie mill. Subsequently for this operation it would not be viable to invest in new infrastructure, however Gunns have proceeded to operate at the mill and maintain employment. (b) Yes, the relocation was completed within timeframe. (c) Yes, Gunns have met and continued to exceed the number of FTE employees within the Manjimup region. There are presently 126 FTE's. (d) Yes, Gunns have achieved 91.5 per cent from start up. The 95 per cent target will commence following the second year anniversary. (e) Yes, Gunns to date have achieved 36.5 per cent sawn timber recovery and are working on improvements prior to the end of the second year anniversary. (f) Yes, full utilisation was dependent on all three mill sites and have exceeded the volume required. (g) Yes, Gunns have continued to assist in the promotion of the Manjimup Industrial Park as per their Business Plan. The Government is continuing to work on this development. (h) (i -iii) Yes, Gunns continue to exceed the FTE targets and were at 126 FTE's as at 31 December 2005 and have exceeded the FTE requirements for Yarloop and Perth. (6) (a -c) This is detailed in question 7. (7) The categories of sawn timber for joinery and veneer leaf have been exceeded to 31 December 2005, while flooring/decking has been well under during the same period. It should be considered that the processes of sawmilling, kiln drying and processing that some of this material would have been carried over stock, particularly for joinery which is thicker in section and can therefore take considerably longer to dry and process. Simultaneously local demand was lower than expected. The Forest Products Commission is considering adjustment to the category volumes to reflect current market changes. (8) Gunns are required to submit six monthly sawmill and milestone returns to the Forest Products Commission. An audit is then undertaken to monitor performance. (9) No. (10) The Business Plan is "Commercial in Confidence."
