COTTON BUSH CONTROL
418. Hon DARREN WEST to the
Minister for Agriculture and Food:
I refer to the answer to question on notice 745.
(1) Given the
rapid ongoing spread of cotton bush in the south west, when does the minister
expect to table the cotton bush response plan?
(2) Through
what mechanism will the information in this report be relayed to south west
landowners and the community in general?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question.
(1) The cotton
bush response plan is scheduled to be finalised by the Department of
Agriculture and Food Western Australia by the end of May 2014.
(2) The
response plan will be available from DAFWA's website and through key
partners such as local governments and natural resource management groups in
the south west.
