I refer to the commitment for 16 Parent and Child Centres and ask: (a) how many (if any) Parent and Child Centres have already opened to date and where are they located; (b) will the Parent Child Centres be run by the State, or contracted to non-government organisations; (c) will the Child Health Nurses at these Centres be employed by WA Health; (d) what is the scheduled, or anticipated opening dates for each of the remaining Parent and Child Centres that are still to open; (e) how many (if any) Community Child Health Clinics have closed since September 2008; and (f) are any current Community Child Health Clinics expected to close when new Parent and Child Centres open, if so, which Child Health Clinics are earmarked for closure?

(c) Yes, the Child Health Nurses working from these centres will be employed by the Department of Health.

(e) In metropolitan Perth, since early 2014, the Manning Child Health Clinic has been temporarily relocated to operate from the Karawarra Child Health Clinic site until the end of 2014, due to redevelopment works.
(f) It is anticipated that no current Child Health Centres will be closing when the new Child and Parent Centres open, however, this will be reviewed annually to ensure services are aligned to meet demand.
