(2) If yes to (1) -
(a) what is the name and purpose of the tariff, fee or charge;
(b) on what date did it come into effect;
(c) why was it implemented;
(d) what was the amount of the tariff, fee or charge when it was implemented; and
(e) what is the current amount of the tariff, fee or charge?

Department of Planning
(1) Yes.
(2a) Development Assessment Panel (DAP) application fee. The purpose of the fee is to recover the cost of assessment of development applications under the DAP regulations. Each DAP will determine applications that meet set type and value thresholds as if it were the responsible authority under the relevant planning instrument. The Western Australian Planning Commission is responsible for the administration of the panels.
(2b) The Minister for Planning established DAPs in May 2011. The Panels commenced operation on 1 July 2011.

(2e) See answer to (2d). This is the first year of operation of the DAPs and there have been no reviews of the fee schedule to date.
Midland Redevelopment Authority
(1) No.
(2) Not applicable.
Armadale Redevelopment Authority
(1) Yes.
(2)(a) Fees for Planning Services, to enable partial cost recovery for planning services related to the assessment of Structure Plans, Scheme Amendments, Detailed Area Plans and any amendments to these.

East Perth Redevelopment Authority
(1) Four new fees have been implemented.
(2) (a) One fee for use of the Perth Cultural Centre (PCC) as a venue, to cover the cost of administration and operational expenses for venue hire within the PCC precinct. Three new development approval fees are outlined in the table attached. [See tabled paper no....]
(b) The PCC venue fees and charges were implemented on 1 July 2011. The new fees for development applications will come into effect on 3 December 2011, three months after gazettal of the amended
