Can the Minister please advise on the following with relation to the Mitchell Corporation’s Road Trains -
(1) Would you provide supply a full and complete set of evidence on each and every one of these trucks showing that -
(a) trucks have never exceeded their maximum permit speeds/conditions based on satellite information;
(b) full and complete readings of Caterpillar Engine Management Systems (Electronic Control Module) to ensure trucks have and are operating within all permit conditions;
(c) the rated speed is accurate, and that cruise/foot controls have speed restrictions operating, indicated speed shown on speedometer and supplied to ECM is accurate; and
(d) testing that each truck in superquad configuration complies fully to the Australian Design Rules and National Standards for Heavy Vehicles relating to -
(i) sustain speed on gradeability; and
(ii) lift-off on gradeability?
(2) Is the Mitchell Corporation being treated any differently to any other Manganese contractors?
