ALBANY REGIONAL HOSPITAL — STAFFING
I have a supplementary question. The minister was saying that there are processes in place at the moment. They are not working — Mr D.T. Redman : What is the question? Mr P.B. WATSON : I am not speaking to you, little boy! The SPEAKER : Order, members! The member for Albany has the call. Mr T.R. Buswell : He is getting grumpy! Mr P.B. WATSON : This person should be supporting it. It is his old electorate. It is obviously not working in Albany. People are frightened to come forward. Will the minister be looking at ways to make it easier for staff to make complaints? There are some real problems there. Those problems will come back to bite the minister in the near future. Dr K.D. HAMES

I accept that the member has been approached by people who have concerns. That is the basic tenor of his complaint. If those people want to come to me and give me their information, off the record or any way they like, I will listen to their complaints. These people are alleging that there is a problem within the hospital but I have no evidence of that. I have no evidence whatsoever to say that what the member says is true. If people want their issues heard, they have to come forward and present evidence to back their complaint.
