PELAGO APARTMENT COMPLEX — KARRATHA —
TAXPAYER CONTRIBUTION
742. Mr F.M. LOGAN to the
Minister for Housing:
I refer to my question without notice of Wednesday, 17
September, when I asked the minister to table information on the cost to
taxpayers of the rates and strata fees paid on the 28 empty apartments in the
Pelago East tower.
(1) Does the
minister think it is acceptable that rather than provide the information to the
house, he instead handed me a piece of paper with two dollar amounts on it
explaining nothing, during the division when walking across the chamber and
after a critical matter of public interest on the subject?
(2) Will the
minister now provide to this house, as he twice stated he would on 17
September, a complete breakdown of water rates, council rates, strata fees and
associated costs, including underground power, by the end of this day?

(1)–(2) I thank the member for Cockburn.
Several members interjected.
The SPEAKER :
Member for Cockburn, I call you to order for the first time.
Mr W.R. MARMION :
The information that I provided to the member yesterday is what I undertook to
provide on Tuesday. I gave the member the figures that he was after—they
were aggregated. The member got the figures that he asked for.
