540. Hon Dr STEVE THOMAS to the minister representing the
Minister for State Development, Jobs and Trade:
I refer to my question without
notice 418 of 30 March 2023 on the negotiations of the extension of the Collie
Coal (Griffin) state agreement, which is due to expire at the end of June 2023.
(1) Did Mr Anjan
Pal and/or Mr Tamojit Mondal of ICICI Bank articulate, present or disseminate
any written, electronic or hardcopy proposals referencing Griffin Coal's
position on its state agreement to the minister, his staff or any governmental
representatives in meetings held on 7 November 2022 and 9 February 2023?
(2) Since 9 February 2023, has the minister or any
ministerial or departmental staff or government representatives met
with, or communicated with in any form, ICICI Bank representatives; and, if so,
on what dates and in what form did the engagement occur?
(3) Can the
minister confirm that at the ministerial meeting with ICICI representatives on
7 November 2022 and the Department of the
Premier and Cabinet staff meeting with ICICI representatives on 9 February 2023 ,
absolutely no records, minutes, notations, recordings, documentation of
discussions or follow-up actions were compiled?
