I refer to the answer to question without notice 188 on
traffic modelling related to Roe Highway stage 8.
(1) What are the potential commercial sensitivities?
(2) How will
answering the questions about whether new modelling has been conducted impact
on current discussions?
(3) Will the
lack of any meaningful information actually not hamper discussions rather than
assist them?
(4) Will the
minister now provide specific answers to parts (1) and (4) of question l88 even
if he will not table any modelling?

question.
(1) The
government is introducing a heavy vehicle user charge to assist with the
funding of Perth Freight Link. Private sector involvement may be sought in the
future and consequently releasing traffic modelling into the public domain may
compromise the ability of government to obtain an optimal commercial outcome.
(2) The
release of government modelling may compromise the ability of government to
obtain an optimal commercial outcome.
(3) Meaningful
information will be provided as appropriate to ensure that the most optimal
commercial outcome is achieved for the government.
(4) Yes, new modelling and specific modelling on truck
movements have been undertaken.
