I am responding on behalf of the
Minister for Mental Health who represents the Minister for Health in this
place, and I thank the member for some notice of the question. The following
information has been provided by the Minister for Health.
(1) Yes; the
intention is to retain the existing community health building on the site of
the new Busselton Health Campus.
(2) The Busselton
population health study has indicated that it is interested in relocating to
the existing Busselton Community Health Centre.
(3) The
University of WA's rural clinical school has indicated that it is
interested in relocating to the existing Busselton Community Health Centre.
(4) The new
Busselton Health Campus design contains zones that allow for both adaptability
and expandability. The site master plan also identifies expansion zones that
include the community health building for expansion in future out years, if
required.
