WATER
CORPORATION — REDUNDANCIES
1411. Hon ALANNA CLOHESY to the
minister representing the Minister for Water:
I refer the minister to the invitations that have been made
to Water Corporation staff for them to express an interest in voluntary
redundancy.
(1) How much
does the Water Corporation plan to pay out in termination entitlements from
this batch of redundancies?
(2) Was the
decision to offer voluntary redundancies connected to the new savings measures
announced by the state government on 9 October 2014?
(3) Is it
planned that any of the positions vacated by Water Corporation staff will be
replaced by contractors or contracts with the private sector?
(4) Was the
decision to make offers of redundancy to Water Corporation staff part of the
five-year strategic development plan tabled in Parliament by the minister in
August 2014?
