The Department of Housing advises:
(1) State and Commonwealth funding has been committed for 6000 NRAS properties in Western Australia over 10 years.
(a) $22.68 million was committed for 2010-2011.
(b) $47.57 million was committed for 2011-2012.
(2)(a) A total of 238 dwellings had been built at 20 June 2011 (reporting date nearest the end of financial year).
(b) A total of 605 dwellings had been built at 3 July 2012 with more than 1000 dwellings currently under construction.
(3) 605 dwellings have been completed across the metropolitan area and a number of country areas. A list of locations and providers can be found at:
www.housing.wa.gov.au/housingoptions/rentaloptions/nras/Pages/default.aspx
(4) The actual location of all dwellings to be delivered will be subject to future planning, financing and investment decisions relative to individual proponents, however, the Department of Housing has supported incentives in the following regions:
North Metropolitan - 2159 incentives
South Metropolitan - 1036 incentives
South East Metropolitan - 572 incentives
Kimberley - 313 incentives
Pilbara - 1275 incentives
Great Southern - 192 incentives
South West - 282 incentives
Mid-West Gascoyne - 179 incentives
Goldfields - 18 incentives
