I thank the member for some notice of this question. (1) Yes. (2) Metropolitan scheme amendment 1008/33 - South Fremantle-Hamilton Hill - was formally assessed by the Environmental Protection Authority, and ministerial statement 560 that a scheme may be implemented, published on 22 December 2000, set environmental conditions. Condition 2 required the preparation of a site investigation and management plan, and condition 3 required the preparation of a site remediation and validation report. (3) After reviewing the reports prepared in accordance with the ministerial conditions, the Department of Health advised the Department of Environment that the site had been remediated to a standard suitable for residential land use, which is the proposed land use for this site. The Department of Environment consequently advised that it was satisfied that conditions 2 and 3 had been met.
