LEEMAN PRIMARY SCHOOL
I refer to energy company Aviva’s policy to house its construction workers and permanent workforce in the Eneabba area in order to construct and operate the Coolimba power station. (1) Is the minister aware that during construction 600 workers will be located in the towns of Leeman, Green Head and Eneabba? (2) Is the minister aware that Aviva anticipates that more than 100 families will be permanently located in the area and there will also be a multiplier effect for support services and industries? (3) Is the minister aware of community and shire concerns that facilities at Leeman Primary School are being downgraded? (4) Given the need for resources and staff to be retained to educate the children of the Aviva workforce, will the minister maintain the current level; and, if not, why not? Hon LJILJANNA RAVLICH
