DEVELOPMENT PLAN PERMITS
724. Hon KEN BASTON to the minister representing the
Minister for Lands:
I refer to the area of land 23
kilometres east of Broome, currently being developed for horticultural
purposes, known as Skuthorpe.
(1) Has the
minister or department taken any steps towards making more land available for
agriculture in this precinct?
(2) If yes to (1), what are these
steps?
(3) If no to (1), why not?

some notice of the question.
(1)–(3) The
outcome of the 2015 expression of interest process resulted in all of the
available crown land in the Skuthorpe horticultural area being granted.
