KARRATHA
SENIORS VILLAGE — RELOCATION
605. Hon HELEN BULLOCK to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Regional Development:
I refer to the Pilbara Cities scheme and the proposed
relocation of the Karratha Seniors Village from the area near the courthouse to
provide for the demolition of the existing facility and the construction of an
extension off Sharpe Avenue.
(1) Has the
state government agreed to the Karratha Seniors Village being relocated to the
low-lying area off Crane Circuit?
(2) Has the
Shire of Roebourne requested that the state government indemnify the local
authority against any risks or losses associated with flooding of the relocated
Karratha Seniors Village in this area?
(3) What consideration has the state government given to this
request?
