The Department of Environment and Conservation has advised that Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines (KCGM) engaged Peter Clifton and Associates to prepare a report titled "Estimation of Groundwater Level Distribution Prior to the Commencement of the Fimiston Tailings Disposal Operations by KCGM" (May 2007).
Public comments received on this report are still being considered by KCGM. In the interim, the report is being used as a guide only for historical groundwater levels.
I will seek leave to table a copy of the report, which provides the information requested by the Member, when KCGM provides the final report to the Department of Environment and Conservation.
