I refer to the East Perth Power Station which was identified as part of the Governments Land Sales package, of which the Minister has carriage, and I ask: (a) when was this site last valued and at what price was it valued; (b) what is this site’s current zoning; (c) have contamination issues been identified for this site and, if so, what are they; (d) if no to (c), will the land be tested for contamination prior to sale and if not why not; and (e) are there any other identified factors which would affect the remediation of this site and if so, what are they?

(a) As part of the sales process valuation advice is sought from the Valuer General. However, to ensure the State receives the best commercial return for the sale of land based on market demand, this information will be kept confidential as this will likely influence buying behaviour.
(b) The site is zoned "Redevelopment Area Precinct 17", under the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority.
(c) Yes, the site has been previously remediated but confirmation / re- assessment may be required as part of the asset divestment process.
(d) N/A.
(e) There are no other known factors.
