(1) Overseas marketing managers based in Singapore, Japan and China have a performance-based pay component as part of their remuneration package. Interstate marketing managers have their remuneration conditions determined by the Government Officers Salaries and Allowances (GOSAC) Award 1989 and GOSAC General Agreement 2004. These instruments do not provide for performance-based pay mechanisms.

(3) The continuation of the Chief Executive Officer and five Executive Directors contracts are subject to satisfactory performance. Their remuneration packages are not varied as a result of exceptional performance or either inbound visitor numbers, or events. The conditions of employment are set by the Department of the Premier and Cabinet.
