I refer to the question without
notice asked on Thursday, 25 February 2016 of the minister in respect of
question without notice 1013 asked in the Legislative Council on 17 September 2015
and the answer to part (4).
(1) Of the 36
sites including the Port Hedland harbour site, which the minister granted
section 18 approval to disturb, how many have been disturbed to date?
(2) If any of
the sites have been disturbed, will the minister please table a list of
proponents who have disturbed the sites?
(3) If no to (2),
why not?
(4) Of the 36
sites including the Port Hedland harbour site, which the minister granted
section 18 approval to disturb, how many are proposed to be disturbed?

(1) As a result
of the Chaney decision of 1 April 2015, in relation to 31 of the 35 Aboriginal
heritage places, including the Port Hedland harbour site, this information will
not be available until the Department of Aboriginal Affairs receives relevant
compliance reports following completion of the proposed works.
(2)–(3) Not applicable.
(4) Thirty-one.
(5) Yes, and I table the
information.
