BURRUP HERITAGE PROJECT
60. Hon ROBIN CHAPPLE to the Leader of
the House representing the Minister for State Development:
I refer to the Burrup heritage
project outlined on page 107 of volume 1 of the 2015–16 WA state budget
paper No 2, which states —
the Burrup heritage project has no
expenditure profiled in 2014–15 and $1.4 million in 2015–16;
(1) Will the
minister provide a detailed explanation of what the Burrup heritage project,
including what the $1.4 million allocation is for?
(2) If no to (1),
why not?

(1) The funding
is for heritage surveys on the Burrup Peninsula, as part of government
commitments made through the Burrup and Maitland Industrial Estates Agreement
on Aboriginal rock art.
(2) Not
