(a) Funding for the Western Australian Renewable Energy Target scheme and Mandatory Industry Energy Efficiency program were reduced to provide the 3 percent efficiency dividend.
(b) The Western Australian Renewable Energy Target scheme has been superseded by the expanded national Renewal Energy Target scheme, which all Australian States and Territories have agreed to. The Office of Energy will continue to engage with the Commonwealth Government on the detailed design and operation of the scheme.
The Mandatory Industry Energy Efficiency program will be replaced by a voluntary program which will provide funding assistance to help businesses identify energy efficiency savings, which they can then decide to implement on a commercial basis. This program design is being finalised now.
