I refer to the Peel Health Campus (PHC), and ask: (a) How many times and on what dates since 1 January 2017 has PHC been unable to provide admitted patient care because no inpatient beds were available at the time a patient presented at the emergency department; and (b) For how long were inpatient beds unavailable and why were the unavailable?

I am advised that:
(a) Three occasions:
(i) 1 patient on 15 June 2017.
(ii) 2 patients on 20 June 2017.
(iii) 2 patients on 10 August 2017.
(b) Information about the length of time inpatient beds were unavailable is not reported. The beds were unavailable as a result of inpatient beds being at capacity.
