I refer to the Minister's statements on a 7:30 Western Australia broadcast of 17 May on ABC-TV, and ask:
(a) what is the anticipated purchase cost per kilojoule to the Western Australia domestic electricity market of gas from the Canning Basin project;
(b) how does the cost of gas from the Canning Basin compare with projected costs of gas for the domestic market from the Gorgon project; and
(c) how does each of the costs outlined in (a) and (b) compare with the projected costs to the domestic market of wind and solar-thermal energy?

Canning Basin are unknown until the scale of production is determined,
technical production requirements are planned and fully costed, finance and
overhead costs are ascertained, and pricing formulas are established.
