a) Visitor numbers are verified by ticket sales. Official National Trust tickets are issued on a controlled basis by type (Family, Adult, Child, Concession, Member) and are numbered sequentially. Ticket sales by number sequence are reported weekly through property returns. Additional visitors for specific events are monitored through weekly returns by Property Manager/Warden. All visitor statistics are a matter of public record and were provided to the Officer of the Auditor General as part of the compliance requirements for performance indicators.
