I refer to the operations of the Public Sector Commission (PSC) and the handling of complaints from members of the public, and I ask: (a) what internal benchmarks and quality assurance measures does the PSC use to assess the integrity of its complaint handling process; (b) are complainants given the opportunity to respond to the PSC’s assessment or preliminary findings before a matter is closed; and (c) if no to (b), why not?

a)         Complaints are assessed and responded to in accordance with the Public Sector Commission Customer Service Charter.
b)         No. Complainants can provide information to enable the Public Sector Commission to assess and respond to complaints.
c)         Complainants not satisfied with the outcome of a complaint may contact the Ombudsman WA regarding matters of administration.
