(a) Over the last four years, the Western Australian Museum Foundation has been the principal body responsible for acquiring sponsorship for the benefit of the Western Australian Museum. The Foundation receives sponsorships and donations both in cash and kind. The value of cash sponsorships and donations to the Foundation has been approximately $1.25 million.
(b) Sponsorship and donations are received from a broad range of international, national and Western Australian companies and some private individuals.
(c) Yes. Sponsor acknowledgment takes several forms, depending on the nature of the sponsorship and any specific agreement with the sponsor. For instance, sponsorship of a specific temporary exhibition may result in the sponsors' branding being displayed as part of the exhibition promotion, for the duration of the exhibition. Some sponsorships which support a relatively permanent feature of the Museum are recognised in the form of a naming board at the feature, such as the Museum's Discovery Centre. Large sponsorships may result in longer-lived naming rights and a range of value-added services. Sponsorships are also recognised in the Museum's annual reports.
