School dental service—Mid West
410. Mr Shane Love to
the Minister for Health:
I have a
supplementary question.
Does denying service
in communities such as the Murchison justify the government reducing the participation
target in the School Dental Service to just 74%?
Several members
interjected.
The Speaker: It is a different supplementary, but if
the minister wants to respond to that.

I have just outlined
all the ways that we are working to deliver dental services, including the Murchison
dental van; the work that we are doing to find appropriate staff, including
relying on locums where necessary; and the work that we are doing to expand
PATS so that people have additional options. We are doing a range of things to
provide those important dental services to the regions.
